Insect protection for your home

The classic fly swatter is a well-known and tried-and-tested method of combating annoying insects. However, this method requires speed and accuracy. A hoover can also be used to remove spiders and their webs, especially in hard-to-reach places. Larger insects can be stunned or killed by electrically charged bats. Garland-shaped flypaper hanging from the ceiling attracts flies and then traps them on its sticky surface. In another form, they can also be attached to wall tiles and window panes. Insect screens, gauze or mosquito nets for Windows- and Door frame prevent insects from entering, especially in well-lit rooms. Mosquito nets over beds are attached to a ceiling hook and ideally cover the entire sleeping area down to the floor. Insects in the room are thus kept away from the sleeping person. UV lamps attract insects with their bright light, which then die on the electrically charged wire mesh. However, these devices are not effective against mosquitoes. Outside the home, the right clothing alone is an effective insect repellent. Insect repellents, which are applied to the skin as a preventative measure, are available in synthetic and natural formulations. Other common measures for outdoor areas are fumigating spirals, which, however, lose their effectiveness in strong winds. Just like UV lamps with their electrically charged wire grids, incense sticks not only drive away annoying or stinging insects, the poison and electricity also kill many beneficial creatures.
