You are looking for a INSEKTUM™ Specialist company in your area that will install your insect screen perfectly?
An insect screen, also known colloquially as a fly screen, is a device designed to prevent insects from entering a room. To fulfil its task, the insect screen is installed in front of doors and windows.
A Insect screens or fly screens is made of fine textile fabric, plastic or metal wire with a mesh size of approximately one millimetre. This mesh size ensures that insects such as mosquitoes and flies are not allowed through, while at the same time allowing sufficient light and air to pass through. Simple insect screens are attached between the frame and window using self-adhesive Velcro fasteners. However, this type of attachment is not suitable for doors, as it is necessary to completely remove the frame in order to pass through. Insect screen would be necessary.
Framed insect screens are mounted on support frames made of Wood, plastic, aluminium or metal in front of a window or door. These can then be opened or closed at will like an additional door. In winter, when there are no insects outside, the framed insect screen can also be unhinged to protect it from weathering. Another variant is the sliding or Roll-up insect screens. These have special holding mechanisms that allow space-saving installation and easy opening and closing. These systems require regular maintenance, otherwise dirt will quickly restrict the functionality of these movable systems.
A special form is the translucent textile fleece, which on the one hand keeps insects out and on the other hand keeps allergenic pollen out of rooms thanks to the reduced mesh size. This is of particular interest to allergy sufferers and asthmatics. Professional fly screens are made from plastic-coated fibreglass fabric. These are very weather-resistant and tear-proof and can therefore remain permanently attached in front of the window or door.
